We just keep rereading this one and we laugh every single time –seriously, it is a family favorite! My son even insisted that we buy copies for 2 of his cousins.

This is a funny story about a slug, named Norman, who wants to be a snail so he can join in the snails’ fun. Norman puts all sorts of silly things on his back in attempt to have a shell of his own. Preschoolers will giggle at the funny things that Norman tries to use as his shell! Norman settles on a donut and, after strapping it his back, goes to play with the snails. Suddenly a hungry bird comes swooping down and grabs Norman’s donut. Up in the air goes Norman! Norman uses his slug slime powers and makes so much slime that he slips free, landing safely back home.
