Make a volcano craft with tissue paper lava! This craft is quick and easy, but my son had so much making it. Little kids are fascinated by volcanos and lava so this craft will be a hit with them!
Supplies Needed:
- construction paper — black and white
- orange tissue paper
- glue stick
- scissors
How To:
Cut a volcano shape out of the black construction paper and glue it onto the white paper.
Our tissue paper came in pre-cute 1 inch x1 inch squares. If you are using a full size sheet of orange tissue, cut or tear it into smaller pieces. My son added orange squares all along the top portion of his volcano to be the lava. Together, we folded some of our orange tissue into skinny rectangles. My son wanted it to look like the volcano was exploding so some of the tissue rectangles were glued to the sky. He also glued some onto the middle of the middle of the volcano to look like the lava was flowing down.
Once you have the tissue paper glued where you want it, let your project dry. Now you can show off your awesome volcano craft!
