I’m a Little Teapot Action Rhyme

Action rhymes are so much fun! They get preschoolers up and moving. Not only do kids love rhymes, but action rhymes help them with their coordination and body movements. I’m a Little Teapot by George Harold Sanders and Clarence Z. Kelley is a preschool classic! It’s a cute little poem and fun to act out.

I'm a Little Teapot

I’m a Little Teapot

I’m a little teapot short and stout.

(put legs together and slightly bend knees)

Here is my handle.

(left hand on hip)

Here is my spout.

(right arm out; bend at elbow)

When I get all steamed up,

Hear me shout,

“Tip me over and pour me out.”

(lean right)
