I made up this Five Little Kids action rhyme to give preschoolers a fun poem to say while they are working on their body coordination, getting some wiggles out, and recognizing how awesome their bodies are. Preschoolers like rhymes and I always try to incorporate songs and action rhymes into my preschool storytime activities.
Five Little Kids
Five little kids standing on their feet.
(stand up)
The first one said, “My toes are neat.”
(wiggle toes)
The second one said, “I wave my arms in the air.”
(wave arms)
The third one said, “I like my hair.”
(pat head)
The fourth one said, “My legs like to run.”
(run in place)
The fifth one said, “Being me is fun!”
