I love handprint crafts! They capture this moment in time that I can look back on and see how small my son’s hands were. So for Father’s Day, we had to make a handprint craft. My son recently finished his baseball skills camp and we have baseball on the brain right now! If you combine baseball with my love of handprint crafts, you get this fun Father’s Day Baseball Craft to make 🙂

Supplies Needed:
To make this, you will need washable brown and red paint, a red marker, brown marker, pencil, and something round to trace (like a cup). I like to use Crayola Washable Paints for my son’s craft projects because they wash off the table and his clothes!
Craft Steps:
I painted my son’s hand brown and he stamped it on the paper to make the mitt. I had baby wipes on hand and I quickly wiped his hand clean before he could touch anything!
While the mitt was drying, we made the baseball. I traced a plastic cup to get my circle and drew to red lines (with a marker) for laces. My son dipped his finger in red paint and made fingerprints along the lines to complete the laces. He thought that part was pretty fun.
Once the mitt was completely dry, I drew on the webbing with a brown marker.
My son completed the project by writing happy Father’s Day — I’m so proud of his handwriting skills 🙂 He’s been working hard on writing his letters!
Both of us are really happy with how this craft turned out. My son can’t wait to give his Father’s Day surprise! Last year, my son gave his dad his present and homemade card early because he was just too excited to wait until Father’s Day. This year, I’m hiding everything so that my son can’t spoil the surprise and my husband will actually have something to open on Father’s Day.
More Crafts!
Check out my CRAFTS page for more fun ideas! They are organized by season, as well as by type of craft. I like to use supplies that I already have at home so we can dive right into crafting without running to the store.
