Monday — T is for Turtle

Check it out from your local library, or you can buy it on Amazon here.

Turtle Craft

I cut out basic shapes in green: a small circle for a head, 4 rectangles for legs, and a large half circle for the shell. My son ripped up brown paper to decorate the shell.

Next, glue the turtle’s shell, legs, and head onto the yellow paper. Then you can glue on the brown paper to decorate the shell.

Lastly, give your turtle a face.

Tuesday — T is for Tower

My son had a blast playing with these cups. He enjoyed stacking them and seeing how tall he could build his tower before it fell over, knocking them over, making color patterns, and playing “cup hands.”

Wednesday — T is for Truck

Check this one out from your library, or buy it on Amazon here.

Little Blue Truck has several sequels and they are all great! We especially like Goodnight, Little Blue Truck!

Using blue paper, draw a large rectangle, a medium square, and a triangle to make your truck. Let your child practice their scissor skills and cut out the shapes.

Using black paper, draw 2 circles for tires. Let your child cut them out.

Draw a square window on white paper and let our child cut it out.

Next, draw a small yellow circle for the headlight. Let your child cut it out.

Now your preschooler gets to put the truck together and glue in onto white paper.

Thursday — T is for Tree

Letter T Tree

First, cut a tree trunk out of cardboard. We made ours the width of a ruler.

Glue your trunk to a piece of paper and then glue the leaves in a row above the trunk to form the letter T.

My son drew a hole in his tree trunk to complete his craft.

Friday — T is for Turkey

Steve Metzger’s books are popular in preschool classrooms and libraries so you should be able to check out a copy of The Turkey Train. You can also buy it on Amazon here.
